Week 9 and 10 combined.
What a great couple weeks of weather.
As we mentioned last week there are no restrictions on groceries as I type this. Some take their food from the states and some enjoy shopping when they cross the border.
We are low on leeches. When the leeches are gone it doesn’t sound like we will be able to get anymore. Crawlers have been working well also. Minnows have been slower, but they were working during the evening bite.
We added a new member to the 30-inch club. Congratulations Mason! This 13-year-old caught photo and released a 32-inch Walleye!
We also had some personal bests caught the past couple of weeks. I won’t include Mason since that’s pretty obvious.
Molly from Cabin 1 27.5 Walleye
Sarah from Cabin 3 29.5 Walleye
Celeste from P2 29 1/8 Walleye
If I missed anyone it’s because I either forgot or I wasn’t told, or it wasn’t written on the Brag Board.
Some beautiful Pike and muskies were caught these two weeks with not so many photos and we’re off to a great start with this week.
Week 10 had a stowaway or a swimmer or whatever you want to name it in the P2 boat. Brian, Celeste, Isabelle, and Jett were minding their own business out on the water when a red squirrel was seen swimming across the lake. Much to their surprise, the four-legged critter decided to climb up their motor and jump into the boat causing some screaming and fast movement of the anglers. They decided to come back to shore to extricate said squirrel. I have to admit the video they showed me which has been deleted was pretty funny watching the squirrel run around the boat and unnamed individuals screaming. I won’t name names.
We're also interested in this lure that was placed on the brag board. Is there a story behind this wornout lure or not. Let me know.
MFT results for 7/13/2025: We had a good number of large walleyes caught today but the largest was a 28-inch walleye by 3 timer Todd out of cabin 4. The micro was won by Darin with a 5 1/2-inch Small mouth bass as he went from largest walleye two years ago to micro prize this year! Don from P2 boated and released a 33 1/8-inch Pike to grab the Northern pike/musky prize! Great job everyone and the food at the bbq was excellent as usual!
MFT results for July 20th: The biggest walleye caught and released was Cabin 7 Steve with a monster 28-inch Walleye! Celeste from Penthouse 2 fought and landed and released I'm assuming a 5-inch Smallmouth bass. Miles from Penthouse 1 boated a nice 23-inch Northern Pike! Nice job and some nice fish caught!
Nick was coming back from the dump run when 2 bucks ran across the road causing him to slam on the brakes. Out came a wolf chasing them. Wish I would have seen that. We also had possibly the same two bucks up on the septic field out back, and the local Lynx was seen in the driveway twice today.
