Wow! Time flies and we’re already to the end of week one of “The Fastest Week of the Year!” This week featured a trophy taken out of the lake for every species. 20 inch smallie, 30.5 inch walleye, 40 inch Pike, and a 50 inch Musky were all caught and released. Steve and I would like to thank all of our anglers for such a great time, and it was truly a pleasure meeting everyone! We look forward to seeing many of you again at the shows and up here in God’s country (RSL).
The fish have mostly transitioned out of the rivers and are headed quickly to summer spots. With the warmth of weather, the last 2 weeks this transition is taking place at record pace. Summer humps might be hot soon. We will keep everyone posted on where the fish are transitioning to. The lake level is up some, but we could always use liquid sunshine when we can get it.
Our anglers had a lot of smiles coming in this week, and some of the slab crappies were amazing to see as well. It's always very enjoyable listening to the big catches, and also the near misses. I will post some pictures to this as well. On to week 2. Stay Tuned.
